The philosophy of Thumbkin is to blend parents’ desire for practical, durable clothing for their children with colours, textures, and designs to intrigue children’s curious young minds. The mittens from the winter collection are easy for parents and children to pull on snug and are cosy keeping little fingers warm. They come complete with traditional keepsafe cord to minimise lost mittens. The premier winter collection also includes slippers, hats, bags, baby fleeces and stroller fleece liners. Each piece is handmade in and is machine washable.
“The pieces in the collection have been handcrafted to be both practical and trendy. My designs are inspired by everyday experiences spent with my own children – their imagination is captured by interesting colours and new tactile sensations,’ Sarah explained. I’m very excited about the launch of this first collection. Parents and retailers alike have embraced the line as practical, haute couture for children.”
